Smell of Bread

With winter hopefully in the past (you never know about Texas weather), cool breezy nights upon us, I smell bread.  Someone was baking bread and it smells so good.  Comfort food.  So I break out the bread maker and start making bread.  I do not use it to bake the bread, I do not care for the way it looks when it is done, so I just use the dough mix, and bake it in the oven.

Here is a basic bread maker recipe-

Ingredients

Water  1 cup
Skim Milk Powder  1Tbs.
Shortening   2 1/2 cups
Sugar  2 Tbs.
Salt  1 tsp.
White Flour  3 1/3 cups
Yeast  1 1/4 tsp.

You add the ingredients just as they are listed and turn on to your dough number.  Approximatly 1hr 30 min later take out the dough put in a greased bread pan and I refold the dough and make it the shape of the pan, not a tight fit, let it rise for a little bit.  Put a little shortening on top for a pretty brown, and stick it in the oven 350 degrees for 30 min.  Take it out, but butter on top and let it cool while the aroma is filling up your house.

Testimonials for Tecnu

Recently I Blogged about Tecnu, and how to send a story about your experience using the product.  I submitted my story to tell them about an exceptional product, I did not even think of the possibility of receiving anything from them.  Today I received Staph A'septic and a couple of informative pamphlets with coupons.  WOW!
I will tell you how this Staph A'septic works as soon as I use it, but I have no doubts it will be just as great as Tecnu.
I hope you guys submit your stories as well.  This is a great company and product.

  Thank you TecLabs.

Spring brings Poisen Ivy

Since the weather is starting to warm up and the plants are starting to grow, unfortunately so is poison ivy.

My two little dogs decided to go on a field trip yesterday.  Where they went I am not sure, they wouldn't tell me, however they did bring home something on their skin, poison ivy oil.  I did not know this and being highly allergic, did I say Highly allergic, I scratched my dogs ears and played with him-(picture @ right Chester). I felt my arm burning I looked down and it was 3 red swollen whelps, I knew it was poison ivy.  The only thing that you need to keep in the house is Tecnu Extreme.  This is medicated poison ivy scrub.  It  relieves the burning and removes poison oils.   I don't get paid for advertising their name, I don't receive any kickbacks.  This is what I use and the only thing I have found that actually works!
I also bathe the dogs in this which will in turn get rid of the poison ivy oils.   This is a great product to also get rid of other oils like skunk.  One morning when I let my little dogs out they came face to face with a skunk, or should I say face to tail.

I tried tomato sauce, yuk what a mess,  It  did not work.  So trying everything in the house I came across Tecnu and decided to try it.  I rubbed it on them and almost instantly the smell was gone.  I was scared my hands were going to smell like that but they did not.  I recommend keeping this stuff in the house.   I hope they invent a spray to quickly spray on dogs=although it was not their intention to use on animals, it does work well.
If you visit Tecnu page they have a story page to send in to receive a free gift.

Understanding Computer/ Texting Language

Trying to figure out all the shortcut chitter chatter that my daughters text me  is confusing!!!!   OMG~ yes that is probably the most popular of words.  I had to ask about a few others only to get the interpretation of "Mommy,  you don't know what that means"- and roll your eyes shutter. So to keep up with all the decoding you can visit Blueglass.com   http://www.blueglass.com/blog/the-ultimate-guide-to-decoding-digg-speak/ to learn more than a few words.

Teaching Yourself New Shortcuts on the Excel

One shortcut key that has really come in useful is the Control  ++   this magnifies any screen so you are able to read without glasses! Yea!
Over our winter weather I decided to teach myself Excel.
For Excel Ctrl+ Home = A1 Cell, Alt + Page up = Left 1 Full Screen, Alt + Page down = Right Full Screen, F7= Spelling, Shift +f10 = mini shortcut, Alt + =  = Sum   And the Little check on the bar will enter the data you just typed without moving from the active cell.
